NEW LODGING COMING FALL 2027

We are excited to share that our newest lodge will open in Fall 2027. This 28,000-square-foot facility will offer 30 single-occupancy king bedrooms, each featuring a private bath for the utmost comfort and privacy.

Overlooking the majestic Missouri River, the lodge will be thoughtfully appointed with four bar lounges, a cigar room, massage studio, and private conference rooms- providing exceptional experience for both relaxation and business.

At Big Bend Ranch, some of the best moments happen long after the hunt is over.

They happen around the table.

After a day spent walking the prairie behind good dogs, there is something special about returning to the warmth of the lodge—the fire going, a cocktail being poured, and dinner beginning to make its way from the kitchen.

Dining at Big Bend is an extension of the experience itself: generous, unhurried and rooted in the traditions of the Great Plains.

Mornings on the Praire

Hunting days begin early, and breakfast at Big Bend is made accordingly.

The smell of fresh coffee fills the lodge while our chef prepares the kind of breakfast meant for a day in the South Dakota field.

Homemade biscuits covered in sausage gravy. Farm-style scrambled eggs. Thick-cut bacon and sausage. Eggs Benedict and other morning favorites.

It is hearty, familiar food served around a table with the people you’ll spend the day hunting beside.

Then the boots go on, the dogs start getting restless, and another morning at Big Bend begins.

Back to the Lodge

After the morning hunt, guests return to the lodge for lunch and a chance to settle in before heading back into the field.

Our chef prepares a rotating selection of homemade specialties—comforting, satisfying meals designed for hungry hunters rather than a hurried lunch between hunts

There is time to relax.

A little conversation. Another cup of coffee. Stories from the morning.

Then, before long, it’s time to head back outside.

Cocktails & Dinner

Evenings at Big Bend have their own rhythm.

The guns are put away. Boots come off. Cocktails are poured.
There is no need to hurry.

Dinner is the centerpiece of the evening and a celebration of the region we call home.

Prairieland pheasant baked in a delicate vermouth sauce and served with Minnesota wild rice. Beautifully prepared South Dakota prime beef. Hand-cut steaks and prime rib cooked exactly as they should be.

Familiar ingredients are treated with care, creating food that feels refined without ever losing the warmth and character of a great ranch dinner.

And just when everyone insists they couldn’t possibly eat another bite, dessert arrives.

Crème brûlée. Panna cotta. Tiramisu. Homemade cakes and seasonal specialties prepared in our kitchen.

Somehow, room is usually found.
